Proverbs 17:22

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Praise God, my friend.

Scripture speaks about joy quite often, but it never tells us to pretend that life is always good.

There will be things we don't understand and prayers we are still waiting to see answered.

Yet, the Bible still tells us to rejoice.

Philippians 4:4 says:

Phillippians 4:4

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”

My friend, notice where Paul tells us to find that joy.

In THE LORD.

Hence, our joy does not have to depend on everything going well around us.

I know easier said than done, but know that He is still with us, His promises still stand, and our hope is still in Him.

That is why Proverbs says a cheerful heart is good medicine.

So, my friend, laugh, be grateful, be obedient to God, and enjoy the good things God has given you.

And when life isn't going the way you hoped, remember that Jesus loves you and He is the source of your joy.
