Praise the Lord, my friend,

We all have things that we don’t want other people to know about, right?

It could be something we did, said, a thought we are ashamed of, or even a struggle we have never told anyone about.

We think that if we share that, people might judge us, or their perception of us will change.

That feeling is valid, my friend.

But what’s not valid is trying to hide the same thing from God as well.

Luke 12:2-3:

“There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.”

You see, my friend, God already knows everything.

And I’m sure all of us believers are aware of that.

But still, sometimes we don’t confess those things and seek forgiveness from Him because of shame and guilt.

My friend, God is not waiting for us to come to Him with a perfect explanation.

He already knows what happened and why it happened.

And He is fully aware of what is going on in our hearts.

Hence, there is no need for us to hide anything from Him.

Instead, we should confess as the word of God asked us to do:

1 John 1:9:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

And when we confess, He forgives us because He loves us, my friend.

I know all of this is a lot easier said than done, especially when we’ve been struggling with something for a really long time.

But we need to understand that our human minds are not built to fully comprehend the kind of love and forgiveness God shows us.

Hence, sometimes, we keep thinking about what we have done and feel like we don't deserve to be forgiven.

We even think, “How can I keep coming back to God after doing the same thing again and again?”

But my friend, forgiveness was never about us being good enough to deserve it.

It is all about God's grace and love for us.

We may struggle to forgive ourselves, but that doesn't mean God has stopped being willing to forgive us when we come to Him sincerely.

So, if there is something you have been hiding from God because you feel ashamed or guilty, don't keep running away from Him.

Go to Him, tell Him what is on your heart, and ask Him for forgiveness and to help you.

He already knows all our shortcomings, and yet, He still wants us to come to Him.

Because He loves us. 🥹

We don’t know who needs to see the above post, but God does.

So, let us share it with a prayer, my friend:

Let’s Pray:

Dear Father God,

Thank You for knowing us completely, even the parts of our lives that nobody else sees.

You know our thoughts, words, struggles, and the things we try to hide.

Lord, help us to be honest with You.

If there is anything in our lives that we are hiding or holding on to, give us the courage to bring it before You and ask for Your forgiveness and help.

Please help us walk honestly before You, not just when others are watching, but also when we are alone.

Help us to turn away from the things that are not pleasing to You and live in a way that honours You and glorifies Your name.

And Lord, please use the above post that we are about to share for Your purpose.

Let it reach the right person, and help someone draw closer to You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
