Praise God, my friend.

There is one word in the above verse on which we should put more focus.

And that word is “Always.”

Because of that word, we know that we have to love and obey God not only when it is convenient for us.

Look at what Habakkuk says here, my friend.

Things were not going well in his life, and yet his decision to rejoice in God remained the same.

That is something we need to remember when we read the word “always.”

Yes, our circumstances will change, and our feelings will change too.

But our love for God should not be something we change depending on what is happening in our lives.

I know it is easier said than done, but we don’t have to do it alone.

All we’ve to do is seek His name and surrender to Him every single day, no matter whether we’re feeling happy or sad.

Jesus loves us unconditionally, my friend, so let’s not engage in things that are not pleasing to Him.

Instead, let us always keep His commands, obey His word, and try to share the love and peace He has given to us with others.

May His will be done and His name alone be glorified.

We don’t know who needs this little reminder, but God does, my friend.

So let us share it with a prayer.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for reminding us that our love for You should not depend on what is happening around us.

Lord, help us love You and follow Your Word not only when life is going well, but also when things are difficult, and we do not understand what You are doing.

When our feelings change, help us keep our eyes on You.

When we are discouraged, remind us of Your faithfulness.

And when we are tempted to choose our own way, give us the strength to surrender to You.

Help us obey Your commands because we love You, and not only when it is convenient for us.

Please help us seek You every day, stay close to You, and keep choosing You through every season of our lives.

Thank You for loving us even when we fail and for giving us the chance to come back to You.

May our lives and everything we say or share offline or online bring glory to Your name, and may Your will be done in everything we do.
