Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Praise the Lord, my friend,
All of us like receiving gifts or comforting words from someone, as it feels good, but giving the same feels difficult at times.
Especially when it is about giving when you’re going through a tough phase.
Or if it’s about giving something you always wanted for yourself.
Sometimes
Yet Jesus tells us that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
And when we look at the cross, we see that Jesus didn't just tell us to give.
But He gave Himself for us.
He knew exactly what it would cost Him, and still He chose to give Himself for us without thinking what He would receive in return.
So as we move forward, let’s keep this in mind whenever we feel a little hesitant to give for whatever reason.
Let us extend our hands, time, or words for someone in need whenever we can.
Because that’s the least we can do compared to what Jesus has done for us, my friend.
Share with Prayer:
All of us have been in the above situation at least once, right?
There’s only one of something left and two hands asking for it.
We don’t know which hands will encounter that situation soon, but God does, my friend.
So, let us share this little creative with a prayer that God will put it in front of the right people at the right time, and a little seed of faith will be sown.
Let’s pray:
Dear Father God,
Thank You for Jesus and for the words He has given us.
As we share this little creative, please let it reach the right person.
If someone already knows Jesus but has become cold, let this remind them of Jesus and His words.
If someone does not know Him yet, please make them curious about who Jesus is and help them want to know more about Him.
And Father, I pray for my friend reading this right now.
You know what is going on in their life, what they are praying about, and what is on their heart.
Please guide them, stay close to them, and help them keep their eyes on You, Father God.
When we have a chance to give, help us remember what Christ has given for us.
Help us to live for You and Your glory alone.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
