John 15:12
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
Praise the Lord, my friend
All of us are aware of the above command, and we eagerly try to do it.
But it starts to feel difficult in certain situations when we remember the “as I have loved you” part.
Because the standard Jesus gave us is not based on how the other person treats us.
It is based on how He has loved us.
And, honestly, I don't think any of us can read those words and say I can love others the way Jesus loves me.
And, I guess that’s the beauty of it, my friend.
It reminds us that we need Christ even in something as simple as loving another person.
Because there is no one who can love us the way He does, and there is no one we can look to when we want to learn what that kind of love looks like.
Hence, we just have to look at Him, rely on Him, and learn from Him, my friend.
Share with Prayer:
My friend, it’s monsoon season here in India, and with all the rain around, I thought this little creative would be perfect to share.
You might not have monsoon where you’re reading this, but I think the little story in this creative is something we can all relate to.
And I really liked the little reminder from the Word of God in the end.
So why not share it with someone today?
Maybe they’ll notice the verse, and maybe it will make them curious about the One who said it.
We don't know who will, but God does.
So let’s share it with a prayer, my friend.
Let’s pray:
Dear Father God,
Thank You for giving us Jesus and for showing us what true love looks like through Him.
As we share this little content piece, please let it reach the person You want to see it.
You know who may need to see it, and You know what is going on in their heart even when we don't.
If someone notices the verse and becomes curious about Jesus, please use that curiosity to lead them closer to You.
Let this little creative go beyond itself and toward Christ.
And Lord, I also pray for my friend reading this right now.
You know how they’re feeling, what they are thinking about, and what they may be going through.
Help them to keep their eyes on You as they walk in faith, and remind them of Your presence as they seek to follow You.
Teach us to love as Christ has loved us, and help us remember that we can always come back to You when we fall short.
Please use even this small act of sharing a creative for Your glory.
Let Your will be done, and Your kingdom come.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Father God,
Amen.
