2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Praise the Lord, my friend.
When I was thinking about starting this newsletter, I prayed about what I should call it.
Then the above verse kept coming back to me, and that is how Walk In Faith got its name.
But what does it actually mean to walk by or in faith?
Well, Paul has given us a clue, my friend.
2 Corinthians 4:18
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
There is a lot we can see with our eyes.
We can see what is happening in our lives right now.
The things that are going well and the things that are not are right in front of our eyes.
But faith asks us to look beyond that, my friend.
Just like God cannot be seen with our eyes, but He is real.
And His promises may not have happened in our lives yet, but they are still His promises.
So when Paul says that we live by faith and not by sight, he is talking about the way we live when our eyes cannot give us the full picture.
And that happens quite often, doesn't it?
There are times when we are eagerly waiting for an answer, but nothing seems to be changing.
And, sometimes, we simply don't understand why God has allowed something to happen.
What do we hold on to then?
Well, the word of God tells us this, my friend:
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
We hold on to what God has said.
That sounds simple, but living it out can be difficult because faith often asks us to choose before we have all the answers.
Sometimes we will understand what God is doing, and sometimes we won't.
But even when we don't understand, we can still go back to His Word and remember what He has said.
We don't have to know everything before we trust Him.
And maybe that is the simplest way to understand what it means to walk by faith, my friend.
May His will be done in our lives.

We don’t know who needs the above reminder, but God knows, my friend.
So let us share it with a prayer.
Let’s Pray
Dear Father God,
Thank You for Your Word and for reminding us that we do not have to understand everything to trust You.
Father, You know the things we are facing right now. You know the questions we have, the things we are waiting for, and the things we cannot make sense of.
Please help us trust You when we do not have all the answers. Help us remember Your Word when our thoughts become heavy, and give us the faith to keep following You.
Father, I pray for my friend reading this right now. Whatever they are going through, please be with them and help them keep their eyes on You.
May we learn to walk by faith and not by sight.
And, as we share the above creative, please use that one share for your glory and transform hearts.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Praise God, my friend.
