Praise the Lord, my friend.

In February, I was accompanying someone at a medical centre for a few days.

During those days, I saw many people who were going through various treatments, and most of them were struggling to do some of the normal things we do every day.

God gave me an opportunity to speak with one person going through a treatment there.

I wanted to know more about him and his condition, so I asked him a few questions during the conversation.

He couldn’t speak much because of his condition; hence, his relative, who was accompanying him, answered most of the questions on his behalf.

During our conversation, he shared that his only wish is to be able to talk, eat, and smile normally again. 🥺

Think about it for a few seconds.

The little things we do every day without giving much thought to them are a dream for that person.

And, my friend, we get so used to those same little things in our lives that we forget how much God has given us.

We go about our everyday lives, doing things that seem so normal to us, without even thinking about how blessed we are to be able to do them.

And God knew this would happen; hence His word reminds us in Psalm 103:2:

❝

Psalm 103:2

"Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits."

You see, my friend, in the above verse David is reminding himself not to forget all the good things God has done for him.

And I think this is something we need to remember too.

We often remember God when we need something or when we are going through a difficult situation.

But we shouldn't forget to thank Him for the little things He has already given us.

Think about all the little things we get to do every day, my friend.

Being able to talk to our families, enjoy a meal, smile, walk around, and do the things we normally do.

These are things we might not even think about, but they are blessings from God.

❝

Psalm 116:12

"What shall I return to the LORD for all his goodness to me?"

In the above verse, we see the Psalmist is reflecting on God's goodness and asking how he can respond to all that God has done for him.

And that's something we need to ask ourselves too.

So let’s ask ourselves this:

How often do we thank Him and feel grateful for the things He has given us, rather than always thinking about the things we want?

I know we all have things we are praying for and hoping God will do in our lives.

But let's not forget to thank Him for what He has already done, my friend.

Let's thank Him for the everyday things, and the blessings we often don't even think about.

And let's remember that our entire existence is a gift from Him, and without Him we are nothing.

May His will be done in our lives, and may you never forget that He loves youuuuuuuuuuu sooooo much.

Let us Intercede

Dear Gracious Heavenly Father,

We bring before You all the people who were and are at that medical centre going through different treatments.

Lord, You know what each of them is going through, the pain they are experiencing, and the difficulties they face every day.

Father, we especially pray for the person mentioned in this newsletter issue.

You know his desire to be able to talk, eat, and smile normally again.

Lord, please strengthen him and help him through this difficult time.

We pray that You would guide the doctors and medical teams who are providing the treatment and aftercare.

Give them wisdom in their decisions and help them provide the best possible treatment.

Lord, please comfort these people and their families.

Give them strength when they feel weak, peace when they are worried, and hope as they continue through their treatments.

Father, we pray for their healing and recovery. Please help them regain the ability to do the everyday things they wish to do again.

May they experience Your love, Your presence, and Your comfort throughout this journey.

And Your name will be glorified through them.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray.

Amen.

Let’s Pray

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the life You have given us and for all the little things we often take for granted.

Lord, help us remember Your goodness in our everyday lives.

Teach us to appreciate the things we have and never forget to thank You for them.

Father, I pray for my friend reading this right now.

You know what they are going through, the things they are praying for, and the challenges they face.

Please strengthen them, guide them, and help them trust You in every situation.

Lord, help them recognise the blessings You have already given them and remember to thank You for the little things in their lives.

And Father, as we share the above video, we pray that You would use it to encourage someone else to remember Your goodness and appreciate the things You have given them.

May everything we do bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray.

Amen.
