Praise God, my friend.

I’m really sorry for being inactive for 4 consecutive days.

I was hospitalized for a few days because of illness, and I’m feeling much better now by the Grace of God.

1 Peter 3:4

“Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

Praise God, my friend.

All of us like to be well dressed and groomed, right?

And, there’s nothing wrong with it.

It’s a form of self-love and a great way to create that first good impression.

But sometimes while trying to create that first good impression, we forget God, whose opinion about us matters far more than theirs.

And God doesn’t look at how we look, what we wear, or the way we walk or talk.

Instead, He looks at our inner self, as Peter has mentioned in the above verse.

So, what exactly is this inner self?

Psalm 139:23-24

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

David’s prayer here gives us a glimpse of what this inner self really is, my friend.

He asked God to search his heart and know his anxious thoughts because there were things within him that he wanted God to examine.

And, that is something we all need because there are moments when we know how we’re feeling.

But we don’t fully understand the thoughts that come in our minds because of that feeling.

For example, when someone hurts us, we can simply say:

“I’m feeling hurt because of what they did.”

While God sees everything that is going on in our minds underneath that hurt.

That is our inner self, my friend.

Simply put, it is not just what we feel on the surface.

But it’s what is happening underneath it, the part that influences the way we think, respond, and make decisions without us even realising it.

So, if this is the part of us that God sees so clearly, then we should focus more on it, my friend.

But how exactly?

Romans 12:1

“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.”

One word, my friend, and that is: Surrender.

We need to surrender our thoughts, desires, and everything that plays an important part in our lives into the mighty hands of God.

And this doesn’t have a discount or anything.

We have to do it every single time, and especially when it is inconvenient, and no one is looking at us.

Because that’s what is pleasing to our beloved Father God; hence, it should be more important to us than any other first impression.

May His will be done in our lives and His name be glorified.

We don’t know who needs the above reminder, but God does, my friend.

So let us share it with a prayer.

Let’s Pray

Dear, gracious heavenly Father,

Thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and reminding us that You see the part of us that no one else sees.

Please help us surrender our thoughts, desires, and everything within us to You.

Give us the strength to obey You even when it is difficult, and no one is watching. Help us live in a way that brings glory to Your name.

And Lord, we also pray for the person who will see the above reel we are about to share.

Please use those words to reach their heart, remind them of You, and draw them closer to You.

Let our small act of sharing become a way for Your Word to reach someone who needs it.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Amen.

Praise God, my friend.

If you’ve any prayer requests, please hit reply and let me know.

I would love to pray for you.

Would you prefer to share it anonymously? You can do it here.

Until tomorrow, my friend 😊
