Matthew 14:31

“Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Praise the Lord, my friend

In the above verse, we see Jesus pointing out the doubt in Peter’s faith.

And, just like Peter, we also go through a moment of doubt in our faith journey.

Most people avoid talking about it because it makes them feel that something is wrong with their faith.

But the truth is, even the most faithful people face moments where everything feels uncertain and shaky.

Every believer has days when they pray, and nothing seems to change.

In those times, it’s natural to feel unsure, and that doesn’t make you a bad Christian, my friend.

Even Peter, who was bold enough to step out of the boat, started to sink when he got scared, and doubt crept into his mind.

Even after that, Jesus didn’t let Peter drown.

He immediately reached out and held him up.

Jesus didn’t say, “Come back to me, Peter, when your faith is stronger.”

Instead, He helped him right in the middle of the struggle.

That’s how God treats us, too, my friend.

Isaiah 41:13

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

God doesn’t expect you to never have doubts or reject you because of your doubts, my friend.

Doubts are a part of this faith journey, and they’ll surface from time to time to induce fear in you.

Hence, they say I believe: Faith over Fear.

A faith that’s so firm that no matter how many doubts creep in your mind or how uncertain the situation feels, you just run back to Christ with an open and surrendered heart every single time.

So if you’re in a place right now where things feel unclear, and your heart is tired, I just want to remind you that God hasn’t left.

He sees what you’re going through, even the stuff you haven’t told anyone about.

And He’s not disappointed in you for feeling this way, my friend.

So don’t give up and distance yourself from Him because of the doubts.

Instead, keep believing in Him, praying to Him, choosing to trust Him, obeying Him, and moving forward in faith.

He’s still with you, working for you, and He’s not letting go because He loves you more than anyone else in this world.

May He speak to you, my friend.

Let’s pray:

Dear Father God,

Thank You for giving us Your Word and for showing us through Peter that we can come to You even when our faith feels weak.

As we share this little message, please let it reach someone who is going through a season of doubt or uncertainty.

If they see the verse and remember Christ, let it draw their heart back to Him.

And, if they don't know You yet, let them become curious about Jesus and want to know Him.

And Father, we also pray for my friend reading this right now.

You know the questions they have, things they don't understand, and moments when their faith feels shaky.

Please help them keep coming back to You instead of running away from You.

Give them the strength to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep following Christ even when they don't have all the answers.

Thank You for never asking us to hide our struggles from You.

Help us bring them to You instead.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
