1 Timothy 1:5

“The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

Praise the Lord, my friend,

Imagine someone close to you breaks your trust, but later comes to you, apologises, and asks for your forgiveness.

You decide to forgive them, but things don't feel the same anymore.

Even when they do something completely unrelated to what happened before, you find yourself wondering if you can really trust them.

Your mind replays what they did, and a part of you fears that they might hurt you again.

And honestly, my friend, rebuilding trust after being hurt isn't easy.

My friend, forgiving someone doesn't mean we will immediately feel comfortable around them again.

It can take time for the hurt to heal, and the other person may need to show through their actions that they have changed.

But while we take that time, we also need to be careful not to let their past mistake become the only thing we see in them.

❝

Ephesians 4:32

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

You see, my friend, the Word of God tells us to forgive others just as God has forgiven us through Christ.

Of course, we may not be able to forgive as perfectly as God does, but with His help, we can try, my friend.

We can give the other person room to grow instead of defining them by their past mistakes.

And yes, this doesn't mean we should ignore what happened or trust blindly.

We can forgive someone and still have boundaries while trust is being rebuilt.

So, my friend, if someone has genuinely apologised and is trying to make things right, let's give ourselves time to heal while also allowing them the chance to show that they can do better.

We cannot change what happened, but with God's help, we can choose not to let that hurt control how we treat someone forever.

After all, just as we need God's grace when we fall short, we can learn to give others room to grow too.

May His will be done in our lives.

God knows who needs to see the above video in this moment.

So let us share it with a prayer, my friend.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please help us forgive those who have hurt us, even when it is difficult to move past what happened.

Give us time to heal and help us let go of the hurt we carry in our hearts.

Teach us to forgive others just as You have forgiven us, and give us wisdom to know when to trust again.

Lord, as we share the above video with others, we pray that it reaches someone who needs to see it today.

Please use this little act of sharing to touch someone's heart and help them take that spiritual U-turn.

May our one share remind them of Your love and the grace You have shown us through Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.
