Praise God, my friend.

Before Jesus said the above words, He had been in Capernaum, where He taught in the synagogue, healed the sick, and drove out demons.

The people saw what He was doing and did not want Him to leave.

But Jesus did not stay.

Because He knew there were others who still needed to hear the good news.

So He did not let their desire for Him to stay change what He had come to do.

And, my friend, sometimes we can find ourselves in a similar situation.

We all have something in our lives that we really like and do not want to leave.

We may be comfortable with our work, friends, home, or simply the way our life is going.

And, because nothing seems wrong with it, we find it difficult to imagine that God could be asking us to move on from it.

But Jesus shows us that something does not have to be bad for God to lead us away from it, my friend.

Capernaum was not a bad place, right?

The people there wanted Jesus to stay, and He had already done good things there.

But Jesus knew that He could not stay in Capernaum if He wanted to fulfill the will of Father God.

And, just like Jesus, we also want the will of God to be fulfilled; hence we pray about it too.

But when the will of God asks us to leave something behind to move forward with Him; we can find ourselves in a dilemma.

Ofc we don’t have to give up everything but atleast we can give up that one thing that God has asked us to leave, my friend.

I know that is easier said than done but if we truly want His will to be fulfilled in our lives, we have to be willing to let go.

So whenever we find ourselves in a situation where God is asking us to leave something behind, let us not hold on to it just because we love it or because nothing seems wrong with it.

If He is asking us to leave it, let us trust Him enough to let it go and follow Him.

May His will be done in our lives.

We don’t know who needs the above reminder, but God knows, my friend.

So let us share it with a prayer.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father God,

Thank You for Jesus and for showing us what it means to follow You.

Father, sometimes You ask us to leave things that we really do not want to leave.

We hold on because we love them, are used to them, and do not understand why we need to let them go.

Please help us when we are in those moments.

If there is something You are asking us to leave, give us the courage to let it go instead of fighting with You about it.

Help us remember that You know what is best for us, even when we do not understand it.

Father, I pray for my friend reading this right now. You know what they are holding on to, and You know how difficult it is for them to let it go.

Please give them the strength they need and help them trust You with whatever they have to leave behind.

And Father, please let the above creative we’re about to share reach someone who needs that little reminder. Draw them close to you and let our one share bring glory to Your name.
